International Disc Dog
Handlers' Association
(March 1, 2010) After over 10 years of events, trials, and titling, the International Disc Dog Handlers' Association is no longer active.
We would like to thank IDDHA founder Greg Tresan for having the confidence in the Skyhoundz and Hyperflite organizations to refer disc dog enthusiasts to our websites going forward. The Skyhoundz website is the center of the disc dog universe, and the leading resource for disc dog enthusiasts.
Skyhoundz features a wealth of competition and training information including a new free training book entitled, Disc Dogs Rock!, which can be downloaded here. The Skyhoundz Store is the preferred destination for discriminating disc doggers and if you can't find it there, you won't find it anywhere.
Skyhoundz stages the largest disc dog competition series in the World. Sponsored by Hyperflite Flying Discs, the Skyhoundz Series features more than 100 disc dog competitions held throughout the world.
Frisbee dogs, flying dogs or disc dogs, it doesn't matter how you refer to them, Skyhoundz is the site (www.skyhoundz.com) for enthusiasts of those canine athletes.
Hyperflite is the world's leading manufacturer of high-performance flying discs designed for canine competition and recreational play. Hyperflite's culture of innovation has resulted in a long line of industry firsts including — the first patented canine competition disc design (K-10), the first puncture-resistant canine competition disc (Jawz), the first cold-weather competition disc (FrostBite), the first small-dog competition disc (K-10 Pup), the first soft and flexible competition disc (SofFlite), the first glow-in-the-dark/color-changing puncture-resistant disc (Jawz Fuzzion), and the list goes on.
Hyperflite was born from the belief that existing flying disc manufacturers had neglected to offer innovations that kept pace with the evolving abilities of the modern canine athlete. Through the application of sophisticated aerodynamic and materials technologies, Hyperflite did nothing less than reinvent the canine disc.
In recognition of Hyperflite’s quantum leap in canine disc technology, U.S. Patent No. 6,887,119 was issued, representing the first patent ever issued for a flying disc designed specifically for use in canine competition.
