Closing Dates and Entries

All entries must be received by Monday, April 16, 2001.

To be accepted, entries must be completed, signed, and received by the closing date and accompanied by the correct fees, $25 per day for OPEN/PRO Division, $10 per day for NOVICE/AMATEUR Division. All dogs must be registered with the IDDHA. All dogs registered over the last 4 years of IDDHA operations and currently included in the IDDHA database will continue to be considered viable for titling, ranking and/or championship registration regardless of whether a handler’s membership is current or in arrears. Handlers will maintain their current IDDHA number, but a decimal following the handler’s number will designate each dog. For instance, if your IDDHA number is 162 and you have two dogs, one will be 162.01 and the other will be 162.02. If you register a third dog, it will be designated 162.03, and so on. New dog registrants will be designated a handler number along with a corresponding decimal for their dog. If you are not a member of the IDDHA, new registration is $10. If you are an existing member with additional dogs not already registered with the IDDHA then the registration fee is $7 for each additional dog. Click here for IDDHA Disc Dog Registration Form. This form must be completed and submitted with all entries that do not bear a valid IDDHA registration number.

Depending on the weather, entry size, or any other unforeseen circumstances, changes may be made to allow the events to be run as smoothly as possible.

Following Championship Registration, confirmation will be mailed to each competitor along with an official IDDHA Rules and Regulations booklet.

Sponsorship Opportunities

2001 IDDHA Canine Disc World Championships OPEN/PRO Division offers professional disc dog teams the opportunity to compete representing their sponsors. Each sponsored team will receive:

· Program announcements

· Banner space in the tenting area

· PA announcements during their performances

Sponsored teams will also be allowed to wear sponsors' t-shirts and use custom discs while competing. Teams that have already secured sponsorship must register their sponsor with the Competition Secretary by the registration deadline. Tenting

There will be a supervised tenting area designated for all competitors and their dogs. NOTE: Only white EZ UP style tents will be permitted at this event. Water will be available on-site. Foxhall has provided the IDDHA with 12 10x10 EZ UP tents for the competitor tenting area. This will insure that all competitors have a shaded area to camp in during the event.

Notice to Competitors

Competitors, through submission of entry, acknowledge that they are knowledgeable of IDDHA Rules and Regulations, included but not limited to the following:

This event is open to all dogs being at least 18 months of age (12 months for single disc), including purebred and non-purebred, except bitches in season, dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness that may affect the dog's physical or mental performance, or dog's exhibiting signs of aggression toward people or other dogs.
All dog's must be registered with the IDDHA in order to compete in IDDHA Sanctioned events. A registration form may be obtained from the IDDHA or registration may be included with entry to this competition.
Safety shall always be of foremost consideration in actions and conduct by handlers at all times.
No leads, collars, food, or other aids aside from an approved competition disc(s) shall be permitted on the playing field at any time.
The organizing committee may refuse any entry for any reason.

In addition:

Entries must be postmarked by the closing date, in US funds. Mail early to avoid disappointment.
There shall be no refunds for entries withdrawn after the closing date, or in the event that the dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a judge or banned from competition by action of the organizing committee.
No entry shall be refunded if the competition cannot be opened or completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, acts of god, public emergency, act of public enemy, strike, or any other cause beyond the control of the IDDHA.
Entries will be refunded for bitches that come into season by the trial date, with a signed notice by the dog's regular veterinarian.
Entries "for exhibition only" are not allowed.
Entries are viable for IDDHA Sanctioned Titling and Ranking. The Competition Secretary will serve as the official IDDHA Representative for this event.

Confirmation of entries will be sent out prior to the competition.

There will be a designated warm-up area and scheduled practice sessions in the freestyle arena on Saturday May 5 in the afternoon from 4 - 7 PM.

Television Disclaimers and Release of Rights

All exhibitors through entry at this event waive any rights relative to video broadcast of this event. Exhibitors shall have the right to videotape portions of this event for their personal use only. No portion of this event may be videotaped for commercial or other purposes. All video, broadcast, and telecast rights for this event are the exclusive property of the International Disc Dog Handlers' Association, Inc. Portions of this event may be taped for television.

Through entry at this event, all exhibitors and handlers hereby grant to IDDHA and its representatives, agents and assigns, all rights and permission to use or appropriate his/her and their dog's biography, likeness, photograph, voice, performing persona, or other indica of identity for broadcast, telecast, cablecast, transmission or distribution in any format or media now known or hereafter to become known. All exhibitors and handlers hereby release IDDHA and its representatives, agents and assigns from any claim or cause of action for invasion of the rights of privacy, right of publicity, right of personality, or any similar right.
