Second Quarter Rankings Released
The 2001 IDDHA 2nd Quarter rankings have now been posted to the following address www.iddha.com/ranking.asp. Congratulations go to all the high-ranking teams in both Single Disc and Freestyle events.
As of July 14, IDDHA rankings will be posted as scores are received. Submitting scores has been simplified with a new online method of recording the data from Competition Tally Sheets. Officially recognized IDDHA Representatives can now submit data via an online form found at http://www.iddha.com/reps/. To become an officially recognized IDDHA Representative you must maintain your membership in good standing and achieve a level 5 Retrieval Proficiency Rating on at least one dog. Email IDDHA@aol.com for information on registering as an Official IDDHA Representative.
The episode of Animal Planet’s “A Pet Story” featuring 2000 IDDHA Freestyle Champion Theresa Jones and her Australian Shepherd Trixie will be premiered July 10, 2001 at 3 pm eastern standard time. Please check your local listings for times and channels. This episode was filmed in part at the 2001 IDDHA Canine Disc World Championships.
Members of the IDDHA will be appearing at the Pro Football Hall of Fame annual Balloon Festival in Canton, Ohio July 27 and 28, 2001. This is the second year that the IDDHA has been invited to demonstrate canine disc at this venue which hosts over 60 hot air balloons and draws over 70,000 spectators. This is great fun for all who attend and anyone who is interested in joining the fun can contact the IDDHA at iddha@aol.com for more information.
We have started receiving nominations and submissions for amendments and additions to the IDDHA Rules and Regulations to be included in the 2001 IDDHA Ballot. IMPORTANT NOTICE: There was an error published in the last newsletter, which stated that nominators were required to be members for a minimum of two years to be eligible to nominate people for the available administrative positions. This was incorrect and should stipulate that nominators are only required to be current members to be eligible. Please excuse this error and oversight.
According to the IDDHA Administrative Calendar, the Director and Officer Consent Form has been published on the website at www.iddha.com/admin.htm. Due to the error mentioned above, nominations will be accepted until August 15, 2001.
