Championship Update 03.21.01

IDDHA at Atlanta Humane Society's Adoption Marathon

As mentioned last week, representatives from the IDDHA participated in the
Atlanta Humane Society's Adoption Marathon this past weekend promoting canine
disc and the 2001 IDDHA Canine Disc World Championships.  Many dogs & cats
were adopted.  One ACD in particular caught the attention of some IDDHA
members who fielded questions from her adopters.  We hope to see the dog and
her handlers at future disc dog events.  Thank you to the volunteers who
donated their time to help.  In addition to the IDDHA's participation in the
Adoption Marathon, a portion of the proceeds from the 2001 IDDHA Canine Disc
World Championships at the MBNA Foxhall Cup will be donated to the Atlanta
Humane Society.

44 Days until the Championships!

As of today we have over 35 entries for the Championships. The Open/Pro
Division purse is approaching $5000 with all the added money from entries,
and there is still space for entry in the Overall available in both the
Novice/Amateur and the Open/Pro Divisions.  The registration closing date of
April 16 is approaching, so don't forget to mail your applications soon.

IDDHA Sanctioned Event this Saturday, March 24

Disc Dog Rescue (DDR) will hold an IDDHA Single Disc Event in Marietta,
Georgia, north of Atlanta this coming Saturday, March 24, at Jim Miller Park
from 1:00-3:00 pm.  This event is part of the March of Dimes Spring Festival.
 This will be the first public use of the IDDHA Championship Single Disc
Court.  The layout for the Championship Single Disc Court
can be viewed at www.iddha.com/docs/Championship Single Disc Court.pdf .  The
site is a covered arena, and indoor distance record attempts will be made as

IDDHA at Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville, GA, Sunday

IDDHA members will be at the Home and Garden Show being held at Arbor Place
Mall in Douglasville, GA, west of Atlanta this coming Sunday, March 25,
promoting canine disc and the Championships. If you can spare some time human
