The United States Dog Agility Association, a sanctioning organization governing the sport of dog agility, has invited the IDDHA to participate in its upcoming Animal Planet/USDAA Grand Prix of Dog Agility, July 15-18 Cleveland Metro Park Polo Fields in Moreland Hills, Ohio. The IDDHA has been asked to entertain the audience with top-flight canine disc demonstrations and provide handler clinics to event participants.
"We are very excited about this invitation," said Greg Tresan, Executive Director IDDHA. "This shows a growing unity in the canine sports world and demonstrates the increasing importance of canine sports to sponsors."
Lawrence Frederick, Executive Director of the Greater
Jacksonville Dog & Disc Club and his dog "Aero" and Theresa Jones,
member of the Greater Atlanta Dog & Disc Club and her dog "Trixie"
will represent the IDDHA at the competition. Jim Van Cise, an IDDHA member in
Cleveland, and his "Tasker" will also be on hand for the
demonstrations.
