ANNOUNCEMENTS!
TITLING OPPORTUNITIES AT THEWORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
From its inception the IDDHA has been committed to maintaining a unified organization for all levels of participants in Canine Disc activities. The IDDHA's success in honoring this commitment is due in large part to its extensive titling program which gives every level of handler and dog a chance to participate in a competitive environment without focusing on "winning." IDDHA Titling also provides handlers with a multi-tiered framework for advancing their competitive skills that is logical and easy to understand. While the 2001 IDDHA Canine Disc World Championships are the ideal venue for the handlers' association to determine win, place and show type results and a 2001 World Champion, this premier event is also a perfect opportunity for handlers to gather titling experience and legs towards any title in the IDDHA Titling program.
HOW MANY LEGS DOES YOUR DOG HAVE?
The newest benefit for IDDHA membership and IDDHA disc dog registration is the ability to check a dog's titling status via the internet. The IDDHA has now added a new feature to the IDDHA site, www.iddha.com/dbinquiry.asp, for inquiring on your dog's title status. You can also access this feature by selecting the titling option on the menu bar and then clicking on the titling inquiry hyperlink at the bottom of the web page. This inquiry will help in determining whether qualifying scores are getting reported to the IDDHA. Any discrepancies should be brought to the IDDHA's attention as well as that of the club that held the event so that your dog is ensured credit for their earned legs towards their titles.
We recommend using Internet Explorer version 5.0 or better. If you get script error messages, click "YES" to continue running the scripts.
To utilize this new web page, ,just follow these three easy steps:
1. Enter your six digit IDDHA number. For example: 017.01 is considered a 6 digit IDDHA number. The digits to the left of the decimal represent the handler number and the two digits to the right of the decimal indicate the dog number. The dog number will determine which dog information will be displayed.
2. Enter the assigned password. Each IDDHA member and disc dog registrant will receive a personalized password via a private email which will be sent out within the next week.
3. Click the submit button.
All of your mailing, membership and titling information currently recorded on the IDDHA databases will be displayed for each dog. If there are any discrepancies, then notify the IDDHA using the link for Database Corrections on the inquiry page. The database has gone through a major conversion to facilitate this new feature, and we want to ensure that the data accurately reflects your dogs performance.
NOTE: When the IDDHA database was originally formatted, legs for titles were simply checked off as complete. When the conversion of the database was begun over a year ago, it became important to indicate the dates the legs were earned in order to track the submission of scores. For this reason, many of the legs earned before the conversion was started have dates that were used as a default to indicate that they had been recorded with the check boxes in the old database. Many titles will have the same dates for all the legs. If you know the specific dates of the events where you earned the legs indicated in the IDDHA database, you can submit them to the IDDHA database administrator at stats@iddha.com.
The 2001 IDDHA Canine Disc World Championships is a model event for titling and the IDDHA Titling program is a great way to register your achievement at the Championships without being concerned about "winning." There will be provisions for arranging titling attempts at the Administrative Tent of the Championships. We hope everyone who participates in this event will take advantage of this opportunity. Our titling program will continue to be a primary focus in the IDDHA's commitment to maintaining a unified organization for all levels of participants in Canine Disc activities.
